ITEXPO West Booth: 715
By Mike Storella
A recent lengthy Network World article on Unified Communications stated that Microsoft Lync “has today positioned itself as a product that demands attention from enterprises looking to upgrade or adopt a UC platform.”
We wholeheartedly agree. Telephone usage patterns and voice communication are undergoing a dramatic transformation in the enterprise. A key enabler of this evolution is an intelligent IP network and standards like SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which enables voice to integrate with an all-IP network.
We will be at ITEXPO West, a telecommunications show in Las Vegas, talking about this transformation and showcasing our products at Booth 715 from August 27-29.
The event is expected to draw thousands of attendees and showcase over 150 exhibitors.
We will be demonstrating our full line of SIP-based VoIP phones and our snom UC Edition Lync-qualified phones and Lync-optimized IP phones, as well as two important capabilities that we are eager to deliver to market later this year.
One of these, “Enhanced Better Together” (EBT) we demonstrated for the first time at Microsoft World Partner Conference in July. Our forthcoming snom UC edition firmware supports enhanced PC/phone pairing via Ethernet to enable click-to-dial, call transfer and ad-hoc conferencing.
Continuing that trend, we are also demonstrating for the first time another new significant capability for our Lync-qualified phones. We don’t want to give away the big news just yet, so we’re hoping you’ll stop by our booth at the show to check it out.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it. We will also be making a formal announcement about this news later in the month.
A hint: the new capability opens a world of new possibilities for users of our Lync-qualified phones.
We are very excited about these developments, as they further showcase our commitment to further integrating our IP phones with Microsoft Lync.
Please stop by and see us at booth 715!
